Alan Day Motor Group hosted England rugby players Ben Earl, Chandler Cunningham-South and Fin Smith as part of its launch event for the BYD Sealion 7.
The rugby players are now brand ambassadors for the dealer group and joined a Q&A session at its New Southgate dealership.
The group’s BYD dealership sold 200 BYDs last month and has been ramping up sales since taking on the new franchise in September last year, adding to its portfolio of franchise partners like Skoda and Volkswagen.
Paul Tanner, Alan Day Motor Group chief executive, said of the manufacturer’s global ambitions: “The Sealion 7 is just the beginning.
“As the brand expands into Europe and beyond, BYD is set to become a major player in the EV landscape.
“With over 200 cars being sold just last month in our New Southgate showroom, it showcases BYD’s commitment to innovation and providing eco-friendly vehicles alongside combining cutting edge technology and the demand for it in the UK.”
Alongside the England Rugby stars, Alan Day has formed partnerships with a variety of stars across sports and entertainment including England goal keeper Jordan Pickford, Lewis Hamilton’s father Anthony, England cricketer Darren Gough and singer Beverley Knight.
