Cap HPI unifies data operations to enhance flexibility and innovation

Cap HPI is restructuring and merging its vehicle data and valuation operations, aiming to increase flexibility in meeting customer needs and drive innovation.

Stacey Ward (pictured) has been appointed senior data director to lead the unified operations.

Ward, a Solera company veteran since 2018, previously managed Autodata and spearheaded Cap HPI’s WLTP integration project. She will report to Antonio Sanchez Garcia, Solera’s VP of data development.

Chris Wright, Solera’s VP for North Europe, commented on the appointment: “Stacey brings extensive experience within Solera and Cap HPI, alongside a proven record of driving change. Her leadership will foster operational excellence and enhance our adaptability to customer requirements.”

In the new structure, Chris Plumb will take over the car valuations team following Derren Martin’s departure later this year, while Dylan Setterfield will continue leading the forecast strategy team.

Dionne Hanlon has been promoted to head of commercial vehicles and motorcycles, while Jon Clay, Cap HPI’s identification director, is set to leave in the coming weeks.

Cap HPI’s consulting team will also work more closely with the data teams, aiming to deliver deeper insights to its customers, including OEMs, fleets, insurance providers, and financial institutions.

“The Cap HPI team provides the data, insights, and technology that propel the automotive industry,” Ward stated.

By aligning our vehicle data and valuations teams, we can respond more rapidly to customer demands, accelerating innovation across our operations.

Cap HPI supports customers with an array of data and technology products, including vehicle checks, residual value forecasting, ownership cost assessments, vehicle configurators, and mileage verification services, serving all sectors of the automotive system from OEMs to consumers.
