Pharrell Williams has a very impressive CV. Heâs a singer, heâs a songwriter, heâs a producer, heâs a designer, heâs a very well-dressed dude. And, as if that wasnât stacked enough already, heâs also one of the co-chairs of the Met Gala 2025. So when he rolled up to the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this evening, everyone knew that a world class fit would come through.
From a distance, Williamsâ tailored ensemble looked like a classic monochromatic affair: white double-breasted jacket, stark white dress shirt, slim black tie, and a pair of black flared trousers that were perfectly cut above his shoes. Sounds pretty normal, right?

Wrong! Well, not all is what it seems. This is the menâs creative director of Louis Vuitton, after all. If youâre lucky enough to get up close and personal, youâll find this blazer covered in loads and loads of individually stitched pearlsâ15,000, to be exact. This wondrous creation was crafted in-house by the Parisian maisonâs finest artisans, and it took over 400 hours to create. Even the pockets and fanged-out lapels are dripped out with the stuff, and the buttons across the front and cuffs were made from orb-like glass.
âI see dandyism as a set of rules and standards that reflect a certain sophistication and well-traveled taste,â he told Vogue in a recent interview. âI want it to feel like the most epic night of power, a reflection of Black resiliency in a world that continues to be colonized, by which I mean policies and legislation that are nothing short of that.â
And if Pharrell Williamsâ shimmering sport coat is just the beginning, what an epic night itâs gonna be.
