Tilbury Douglas has appointed Andrew Bull as managing director for infrastructure.
Bull joins the firm from Arcadis, where he spent nearly six years as a senior partner. He replaces Paul Thain, who is retiring.
Bull was Arcadis’ UK water sector lead and served as a board member on the Welsh Water Alliance and South West Water Alliance. He also spent 25 years at Costain, leading the Costain Atkins joint venture within the eight2O alliance to deliver Thames Water’s AMP6 capital programme.
Thain joined Tilbury Douglas from Amey in 2019. He has also held senior roles at Balfour Beatty, Laing O’Rourke and Carillion.
Tilbury Douglas chief operating officer Craig Tatton said: “We are pleased to welcome Andrew to our highly experienced team, which continues to deliver critically important projects.
“Looking ahead, we will focus on maintaining and improving our high-quality service and delivery for our customers across the UK.”
Bull said: “I am really looking forward to joining Tilbury Douglas at what I believe to be an exciting time for the business. With the brand’s strong heritage, it is well positioned for future growth.”
Tilbury Douglas made a pre-tax loss of £94m in its last reported financial year, to 31 December 2022, due to costs associated with its separation from Interserve Group.
